Rosemary Scalp & Hair Spray

This is a beautiful product that I love to make myself and have on hand. Rosemary reduces inflammation, boosts blood circulation, strengthens hair, and stimulates hair growth, making it an all-around supportive and nourishing herb for the scalp.

Ingredients & Tools:

  • 3-5 large sprigs of fresh Rosemary

  • 4-6 cups of filtered water

  • Extra filtered water to rinse Rosemary

  • Glass spray jars & glass storage containers

  • Strainer/cheese cloth

  • Funnel

  • Mortar & Pestle (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse and wash the fresh rosemary with filtered water

  2. Completely pat dry the rosemary. You can also crush it a bit with your hands or mortar and pestle to increase the potency

  3. Bring 4-6 cups of filtered water to a boil

  4. Once the water is boiling, add the rosemary and reduce the boil to a simmer

  5. Simmer it for about 15-20 minutes with the lid on

  6. Keep the pot on the stove (can be the same burner) and allow it to rest for 6-12 hours (depending on how rich you want it to be)

  7. After allowing it to sit, take the rosemary out of the water. Drain the concoction to get the amber looking bits out. This is optional, but I like to add a little bit of Apple Cider Vinegar to keep it more fresh, and because of all the benefits ACV has to offer

  8. Pour the spray into however many glass spray bottles you would like, and put the rest in glass storage jars

  9. Keep in the fridge and use whenever you want! I particularly love to use it after showering

Along with using this spray on your scalp and hair, you can also put it on your face and the rest of your body. It's anti-inflammatory properties are wonderful for the skin.

Enjoy!
